But when her clothes are just this all the time (she has two sets of the exact same thing), she's severely lacking in anything else.

[ Yuri luckily does know some things about first aid. She puts Kazuki on top of one of the more comfortable cots for now while the recovery pod starts to boot up. After that, she rushes to get the tube of antiseptic tape to try and tape over Kazuki's cuts that she can find. She hopes this will help the recovery speed just a bit. ]

[ never in his life did he imagine he would be carried so delicately to a medbay.

he's a good patient, at least! he nods and waits on the cot, his eyes wandering over to a nondescript spot near the corner of the room like he's watching something. ]

[ As she treats the smaller cuts, her gaze occasionally flits over to Kazuki's face. She needs to keep watch over him after all. ]

his eyes flit back to yuri and he shakes his head. aside from the obvious, no, it's all fine. then he tries to say something, croaks out an intelligible noise, and descends into a coughing fit. ]

Yuri gets worried when Kazuki gets into a coughing fit. She can't advise him to drink water right now, but... ugh. Ugh!! She gently picks up Kazuki again and puts him in the recovery pod. She's not going to be rough with him. What if he dislocates another shoulder?? But she also tries to turn Kazuki's head a little so that he doesn't gurgle and accidentally drown in his own blood. ]

[ yuri really said he's going to break in the stiff breeze lmao. valid of her!

it only lasts a few seconds, thankfully. once it's over, he catches his breath, and gives her a small, grateful smile. ]

[ This is the first time she's seeing this in action, so she's surprised. ]

[ oh that wasn't the pod in action yet, just the coughing. the rest will take time!

he grimaces and shakes his head, gesturing with his good arm toward his neck. it hurts, he still can't really talk. ]

Yuri makes sure to observe him, but not too close. She thinks Kazuki must already be dealing with tight spaces, so he probably doesn't need anyone to press their face against the pod lid. ]

It's okay. You don't have to talk. Keep resting. I'll be here...

[ a nod, and we let the pod do its work... he'll be in there for about an hour before it opens again, and out kazuki comes! he looks... mildly better! the wounds have closed, and his hands look less like they've been like a meat grinder. not perfect, maybe, but this is still better than before.

he melts into the nearest seat with with a heavy sigh, and after a moment, speaks up in a raspy voice. ]

... I think you should be in there longer.

[ While it's true that Kazuki seems to have recovered a little, Yuri doesn't think it's enough. ]

I kind of got strongarmed into joining right after that concert, so it's... pretty new. It still feels surreal.

Not that long ago, honestly. There's a park with a playground not far from my school back home. We walk through it all the time - sometimes we just stop there to chat for a while.

The structures there make it nice to just hang around, doesn't it? I like the swings.

It gives my idle limbs something to do and there's something about sitting on a swing that feels fun.

Depends. Sometimes it's guitar, but when I can't do that, I usually just play with a pencil or walk around the city or something.

It is. And I wouldn't say it's some kind of utopia - Shinjuku has issues, just like anywhere else. But I haven't had any, myself, even when I go out really late.

... Yes. There are no places without flaws. I've accepted that. If someone tried to convince me that it's a utopia, I might be obligated to deny them. But I'm glad that nothing happened to you. You should enjoy yourself when you can, especially when you want to let out some pent up energy.

...I think you're right - that it is exhausting. So is thinking that you could die at any moment. But it's probably like anything else, so you'd get used to it, after a while.

[ Yuri can be seen in the music store some time after the eclipse. She's in the back with an electronic keyboard on her lap, playing Hello by Adele. It's nothing complicated other than her playing chords every now and then. Very beginner-like. ]
